The Make in Vietnam Awards 2024 is a prestigious and official accolade in the field of information and communication technology, held annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) to honor Vietnamese organizations and enterprises with outstanding digital technology products. Two standout products from Viettel Data and Artificial Intelligence Service Center (Viettel AI) that made it to the Top 10 are the Viettel eKYC (Electronic Know-Your-Customer) solution and the online reporting and management system for the ICT sector.

Viettel eKYC is an electronic customer identification solution that applies artificial intelligence to verify identities with precision and security. With direct integration with the National Population Database, the solution prevents 100% identity document fraud and reduces 83% of paperwork, saving up to 70% in transaction time. To date, Viettel eKYC has successfully facilitated over 500 million transactions, contributing to the growth of the digital economy in Vietnam and internationally.

The online reporting and management system for the ICT sector is a comprehensive digital platform piloted by the Ministry of Information and Communications and 63 provincial Departments of Information and Communications nationwide. The system reduces over 85% of annual manual reporting, saving time, costs, and human resources. By integrating the principle of “enter data once, use multiple times” into the reporting process, the system optimizes internal operations while enhancing transparency and operational efficiency.

The Viettel AI solutions were highly regarded by the judging panel for their technological breakthroughs, deep integration into the digital ecosystem, and practical application efficiency. Both products meet stringent standards for security, accuracy, and scalability. Furthermore, being fully researched and developed in Vietnam, these solutions provide tangible value to businesses and end-users, affirming the technological capabilities of Vietnamese people on the international stage.
