Viettel AI is marking a new milestone by putting their VAI-LEGAL-1.3 model, developed on the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super architecture, into practical application through the Legal AI product. This effort aims to transform the model's core capabilities into solutions that directly support specialized professional operations.
To meet the specific requirements of the legal sector, VAI-LEGAL-1.3 has undergone a multi-stage training process. Specialized Vietnamese data, including the legal document system, administrative documents, procedural processes, and public service information, was integrated throughout the workflow, from the Continual Pre-Training phase to Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT). The research team also designed specialized instruction sets and focused on the long-context SFT phase, enabling the model to accurately look up and synthesize a large volume of legal documents.
In parallel with data enrichment, Viettel AI applied intensive post-training techniques. The integration of methods such as Agentic/Tool-use training and Reinforcement Learning (RLVR) significantly enhances VAI-LEGAL-1.3's capacity for planning, logical reasoning, and executing complex multi-step tasks.

Currently, the VAI-LEGAL-1.3 model has been successfully deployed on My Agent, a versatile AI assistant platform. The system is in the practical testing phase with over 1,000 users. On this platform, the model powers various Agents, enabling users to look up and ask questions regarding legal regulations, analyze documents, and automatically generate output products such as reports, contracts, or presentation slides directly within the chat interface. Internal evaluation results on the legal benchmark indicate that the model achieves highly positive performance. The research process affirms Viettel's proactive technological capabilities in developing large language models, aiming to perfect AI solutions that address specialized challenges for the government and businesses, while making AI accessible to all citizens.
