Viettel eKYC receives national innovation award

9 Viettel solutions won awards in the "Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2024" program. Among the top 15 outstanding solutions, Viettel is also the only unit honored in both main areas of the award: Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor industry.

Viettel eKYC reached the top 5 - the highest ranking of the program, with the "Innovation Star" award. The solution helps control fraud with the highest level of biometric anti-counterfeiting technology in Vietnam today, with a 0% error rate and the ability to detect 3D counterfeiting forms, such as using silicon masks and deepfakes. Viettel's solution to accelerate the process of simulating digital microchip designs was honored in the semiconductor field. The acceleration helps shorten the research time by about 30% and improve the quality of chip design, speeding up the process of bringing products to market, contributing to Viettel's mission of promoting the semiconductor industry - an important field of Vietnam in the future.

Other Viettel solutions honored include: Viettel Machine Learning Platform (vMLP); Smarthome Platform - a comprehensive solution for monitoring safety and security for households; Customer Centric Artificial Intelligence (CCAI) - a multi-dimensional customer system based on artificial intelligence; Data Platform As A Service - an ecosystem of data mining and analysis applications...

Viettel's solutions are highly appreciated for their innovation, sustainability, application of modern technology with a wide range of applications, reasonable costs, serving both business, customer service, as well as research and development of technology.

Viettel eKYC was developed by Viettel Artificial Intelligence and Data Services Center (Viettel AI). Currently, Viettel eKYC is the official partner of the Ministry of Public Security in providing authentication services on chip-based citizen identification cards. In addition, the product has been granted the highest level of ISO 30107-3:2023 certification by Tayllorcox for Presentation Attack Detection, reaching the Top 4 in the world for facial recognition at the side angle according to NIST's assessment in January 2024.

"Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2024" is organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC), with the theme of "Innovation with businesses to promote the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence to conquer the global market".

With the goal of finding solutions from organizations/individuals around the world to solve important national challenges, towards a prosperous and sustainable development of Vietnam, the award has attracted 750 solutions from 20 participating countries and territories.
